It totally effed my diet up around Halloween.
And just when I thought the danger had passed...when all vestiges of Halloween candy were gone from my house...

Uggghhh they did that with my Easter Cadbury Choc Eggs... you know, the sold choc with the hard candy shell... ohhhh how I ♥ them. Damn Cadbury has created them for Christmas & Valentines Day too. It was SUPPOSED to be my Easter weakness... stupid candy companies!

The very best candy corn is the Autumn Mix and the pumpkins that are in. Drool inducingly delicious!
Candy Corn is delicious. But it's one of those things I will only deal with at Halloween. After eating it, I feel like my teeth are going to dance out of my head because it's so sweet. Ouch.
Does it taste the same? I think the color difference alone would defer me from trying it.

They could, theoretically, made candy corn for every holiday (red, white, and blue for Independence Day, red, white, and green for Christmas, brown, orange, and ivory for Thanksgiving, pale pink, blue, and yellow for Easter, etc).

My addiction of choice was always a very specific brand of chocolate covered maraschino cherries, and they've recently "new and improved" them into being boring old cherry cream chocolates - no cherry, no goo, no glory. As much as I'm disappointed, I gotta admit it's saving me a lot of money, calories and guilt!
My husband loves those things! I can take 'em or leave 'em. It's chocolate that is my weakness. And it doesn't help that it is all 50% off now! Sheesh.
I can leave candy alone (because I have WILL POWER) but bake a pan of brownies and I can eat the whole freakin' thing. So I guess I need more WILL POWER huh? And I'll need a glass of milk for my brownies. I'm a needy bitch these days.
I smiled reading your post - first of all because I just got my NEW computer set up and it is WORKING!!! And I am such a sweet addicted and I am not ashamed to admit it but candy corn is one thing I actually do not like. So that just means there is more for you to enjoy :)

Oh my gosh my Mom and I were addicted to candy corn when I was a kid. We'd go through bags and bags of the stuff, (this is the same woman who ate 21 McDonald's cheese burgers remember).

Around here they color that "candy crack" for EVERY HOLIDAY....Xmas it's red green and white; Valentine's Day it's pink red and white; St. Pat's Day it's 2 tone green and white; Easter it's yellow pink and blue; 4th of July it's red white and blue;and then we are back to Fall/Halloween colors.
Resistance is futile....
