Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I haven't done this FC thing for a couple weeks now and I confess that I'm really excited to link up this week!

I confess that I'm near tears that I can't make it to the meet up with all my blogger friends in Texas in a few weeks.

I confess that I search every day for cheap flights, but the cheapest I found was $412. Boo.

I confess that I do get to visit this awesome lady and I'm travelling with this awesome lady to get there. Myya and I go way back, and it's going to be so fun! I think it's about a 10 hour car ride to get there, but with our combined 5 children...I'm guessing it's gonna take longer. Oh the stories we will have to tell, though!

I confess my kids are getting outta sight excited about the fun things we will do while we're there!

I confess that Myya got me hooked on stupid WordFued. And she kicks my ass every time we play. In fact, right now I have 89 points and she's got 261. She comes up with fake words like "muley" and "qi" and WordFued is like, "Okay Miss Myya, we looooove you and you can make up fake words and we don't care!" And then I try to make up a word and WF is all like, "No MiMi!!! No fake word for you!" EFF WordFued. EFF it.

I confess that my 5 year old beats me at Memory. Every time. Did I mention he's 5? And he beats me. Soundly.

I confess that I think Walmart greeters are ageist. Hear me out! They're all like 89 or something. And when you walk in with 3 or 4 other people, they always say, "Hi, Welcome to Walmart," or some crap like that to the elderly people. But they don't say it to the regular people, like me. They also talk to the moms with babies. So, you have to be either really young (baby) or really old (99% of their Tuesday morning traffic) to get any attention. Whatever. I don't care. I'm on to them now!

I confess that sometimes I leave a comment on a blog and that blogger will reply to me. Like 4 days later. I have no clue what the reply is regarding and can't remember the post OR the comment I left. I also confess that sometimes this happens even if they reply right away.

I confess...that...I get a little bit giddy about the Royal Wedding. I can't even say why, because to tell you the truth, I couldn't give a fig if the monarchy ceased to exist. I think it's because it's William, who I remember watching walk after Di's casket with his adorable brother Harry. I think it's because the romanticism of tradition gets me in the gut. I think it's because he's marrying a "commoner" whom he loves. And I think it's because I'd give my left nut to look like Kate.

Go link up with Mamarazzi if you have something to confess!

I missed the royal wedding--I'm sure the highlights will run all weekend and I'll be able to look at it on the interwebs forever. Really I'm just not that into it.

You would give your left nut!!!!
Bahahahahhahaha!
My son keeps asking me what is so funny and I just can't explain my friend MiMi wants to give her left nut to look like the new Princess. LOL

I have it DVR'd cause I was all excited about the wedding and my confession is about how I excited I am about the wedding.

and i'm so vain that i think that 4 days later comment is about me.

For some reason, I couldn't care less about the royal wedding.

I get confused about the 4 day later replies too.

If it helps any "qat" "qoph" and "qaid" are real words. I'm a scrabble nut, but I only play against the computer because my husband hates the game and my kids can't spell yet.

I didn't watch the wedding. I am sure I will see more of it than I ever wanted to by week's end. She did look really pretty though.
I have no memory left either...
Keep looking for that last minute flight...

I think you summed up my feelings on the Royal Wedding. Thanks!

And I'm the same way about the comments. I feel bad. Oh well.

And, again, I'm jealous of you and Myya's trip. But excited for our meet up. Really need to start planning that!

I'm still chuckling over the left nut thing!! Best of luck with the car trip. I could drive from Minneapolis to Key West with my eyes closed, but the older my daughter is, the harder the road trip is...haha, read my book I need to write..."I'm Still Trying To Move Back To Florida!" Have loads of fun on your trip. At least the kids can entertain each other! Thanks for your fabulous blogs!!...better get my buttcarpet pug quick! Sorry, TMI, he's okay :)

You have a left nut?

Connie said...

Sometimes I pretend I'm English and I tell people to bugger off!

I love all things English. Beer, Movies, The Spice Girls and Prince Harry...my little English Muffin!

I'm super sad that I can't go to TX either.

Connie said...

I forgot my confession.

I ate a wedge of gouda all by myself this week. And a sleeve of Ritz.

Emmy said...

I must admit I could care less about the wedding and didn't watch it. And yes I am echoing Xazmin's question.

Raoulysgirl said...

I confess....I hate the idea that this country is so effin' nuts about the royal wedding. We. Are. No. Longer. Brits.

However, I would also give my left nut (and probably my right) to look like Kate. And for that ring.

I am super bummed you're not coming too, you will be so missed!

You are going to have a blast visiting Mamarazzi with Myya although I don't envy the car ride!

I'm glad I have no clue what WordFued is, I have no time for yet another addiction!

Can I tell you a secret?

I had no clue the wedding was today until yesterday when my 11 year old neighbor told me. Yep, I'm the friend who lives under a rock!

I think you could file a lawsuit against Walmart.

Yay! Blogger's letting me leave a comment!
Wow, driving to my home state of TX with five kids. You are one brave lady. That is a looooooonnnnnnggggg drive. You have a movie set-up, right? ;)

Lourie said...

$412???? Are they freaking serious???

I am totally and completely guilty of replying to a comment 4 days later.

Have fun on your road trip.

Whose left nut is it anyway?

Mrs Montoya said...

I can't even think of anyone else in the whole world that would say "I'd give my left nut". It's my most favorite thing about you.

I was a little obsessed with the wedding myself. They are too darling.

Impulsive Addict said...

i soooooo wish you were coming to Austin. I'm pretty sure Austin isn't ready for us. It's gonna be baaaad.

WordFued sounds like Words With Friends. I understand your frustration. It sucks ass hair.

Umm...you need to beat your 5 year old. Enough said.

I'm so glad that the wedding is OVER. Good Lord! I could care less! (Don't hit me)

I'm leaving a comment days after you posted this because I'm the loser who has to catch up with blogs in chunks at a time. This comment is in regard to the WALMART greeters that are agesist: I'd rather they didn't say anything at all to me. I get all freaked out as I walk in wondering if they are going to say something or not. Then they do and I mumble something back or am already cruising past them and kind of stumble wondering if I should say something or let it slide. Then they don't say something and I get a little huffy that I even got worked up about it in the first place. It's a conundrum for sure.

This is a stupidly long comment. :P

I have been highlighted in your blig... I have hit the big time! I rock... yah I do! I totally kick yo ass at Wordfued. Although people I used to beat all the time I am now losing to, guess I better step up my game huh. Hmmm might have soemthign to do with playing 11 games at once???

Our road trip is going to be AWESOME, like SUPAH AWESOME!!! I am fun, you are fun, we will have FUN!!! Our kids will be great because I said so!!!

I wanna be a princess. Can you make that happen all mighty Mimi???

LOVE YOU ♥

i suck. i am just now getting to this.

i love that you are excited about our bloggy week + together. i am beyond excited i love that it is NEXT month. i know i keep saying that.

is it weird that reading about it on your blog made it more real to me? like it is on the internets so it is real?

shortmama said...

I had all these funny comments to say to you but then read the left nut statement and I got scared...running away now

Oh ok....Wordfeud...Myya kicks my ass too!

I wish I could tell you how to spell "queef" or "kweef" or "qweef" because it's a real thing and Wordfued can't argue with that. Also I think you're missing the irony of this. Wordfued is TOTALLY made up. OK not the Word part...but fued?? Isn't that supposed to be fewed? or feud? So, suck it Worfued...if you can make crap up for the name of you game, Mimi can totally make up a vaginal fart.

Also, Prince William started adorable and ended ugly. I would love to look like Kate too but just think about laying on the bottom of that while he's making his O face. So. Not. Worth. It. Fascinator or no....
