Eight Is Great

Sorry guys, there's not much of a post today because it's a birthday here in France!

Big Boy turns 8 at exactly 11:26 pm tonight.

And, yes, I am a big enough wimp to hold on to his little 7 year old self until 11:26 pm.

In 2009 I did a post called The Idiots Guide to Labor and Delivery if you want to read it. It's long.

Here's last year's post where I lamented that he was just 1, how could he already be 7?

Now here it is year later...and he's 8. **sobs**

It kinda doesn't matter how old he gets, he'll always be this guy in my mind:

less than 12 hours old

seriously? again with the camera?!

BTW: for those of you having problems commenting lately, here's the fix:
Its a problem with a faulty cookie from a few weeks ago.
You need to log out and then go to the Tools section of your browser and under Internet Options, delete your temp files, cookies, etc. Should be one button that does it all.
Then after it's done with it's sweep go to the blogger homepage and before you log in, press F5.
Then log in, but don't click Remember Me.
That solved the problem for me and now I can comment on everyone's again. I hope that works for you. It sounds complicated, but it only takes a few minutes.

Thank you, thank you sweet Sarah Kate at Dixie Creek Farm for the tip!

And Happy Birthday to my sweet 8 year old who gave me the best gift ever. Becoming a mommy.

Eight seems so grown up, doesn't it? Turbo is only a week older than your guy. How do they grow up so quickly?
Happy Birthday!

I'm going to be writing a tearful post just like this one in 2 weeks. Happy birthday to the birthday boy! I get that SAME look from Lexie all the time when I break out the camera. Must be an 8-year-old thing. ;o)

I hope lots of people see the blogger fix. So frustrating that Blogger hasn't been active getting this info out to people. Grrr.

HOW CUTE IS HE?? Happy 8th to him! Can you send me a piece of his birthday cake? I'm craving a sweet something right now.

WTH? I haven't had any trouble with commenting thank goodness but I feel completely left out. How come I didn't?

I'm off to read your Idiots Guide. It better be good if it's long.

Me love you long time.

Babies are like puppies and should stay little forever. Or at least until you're tired of them and then they can just go straight to 18 (the kids not the pups) and get out of the house. Scientists need to figure that one out.

Happy Birthday to your guy! It's funny when they are little 1, 2, and 3 birthdays just seem so fun and are anticipated but then as a mom after that it starts to be like-no, not yet.

Hope he has a wonderful day

Aw, happy birthday to him! :)

I have had long circular and unproductive conversations about this with Brennan. That he will always be my baby. He just keeps telling me he's not my baby. He's a big boy now. I did not understand this concept until I had him:)

Aw, so precious. I love being a mom but my goodness, it breaks my heart with every outgrown shoe, shirt and haircut. I hope it is a perfectly maw-velous day. For the both of you.

I am so glad that I am not the only ones who get that look when mom breaks out the camera. I get that look from my 8 year old and my 12 year old, for some reason my 10 year old loves having her picture taken. I think she is in that "good" stage. LOL
