Nope. I'm still here, intact and alive.
Turns out we could hardly see the lions because they were resting in the shade.
We did see some tigers though. We were able to do the "tiger encounter" and saw two awesomely beautiful and scary as heck tigers. They were brother and sister and lived in an enclosed area in the animal park.
Their names are Saigon and Leah. Saigon was well trained and did anything the guide wanted as long as he was going to get some meat.
Leah was a different story. She's a girl cat. A really crabby girl cat. A scary, crabby, "I want to scratch your eyeballs out," cat.
See this? She was looking at a little boy about 4 years old.
see her licking her chops? i think she wanted to eat someone.
Anyway. I can not confirm or deny this but someone who shall remain nameless might have gotten a little scared and kept finding herself backing up. Pretty soon she would notice she'd backed up too far and come back up near the fence.
At some point the monster cat lunged at the fence and roared loud enough that someone may have peed in her pants a little. Perhaps. Again, can not confirm nor deny.
This person also might have shrieked and said, "Oh $#!t!" in front of small children and the elderly.
So how was your weekend?

My weekend was shockingly lacking in tigers or lions.
Glad you survived to tell us about your adventures.
Your weekend sounds much more exciting than mine. Darn kids kill our bladders
Holy crap! Don't you watch fatal attraction. No lions, tigers, bears, or monkeys for me anymore.
Yay! You're still here which is great news, and the tigers didn't get heartburn from eating you haha!
We found a frog in our backyard and I was afraid it would touch me. I'd have peed from the tigers, too!
my weekend was boring compared to yours! :)
How crazy, I saw the same exact tigers! Wish we would have ran into you guys, that would have been fun. We rode the camels instead, I think the tiger encounter would have freaked my neice out. LOL.
Glad you didn't get eaten... totally TOTALLY laughing at YOU that you peepeed in your panties :)
Awesome cat.. stunningly beautiful and apparently she knows it.
I will not confirm or deny, but I know someone that would have reacted the same as the person in your post. ;)
That is one hungry looking tiger!
Very pretty but I would have pee'd a little too when it roared.
I can neither confirm not deny that I may have done the same thing in 'someones' situation. And I definitely would have peed my pants a little.
LOL! who was it...? ;)
YOu survived! That is great news. Although your pants may not have... or someone's, anyway. But at least there will be more Living In France (OR) adventures. REally, that is all I care about. I mean, uh, I am so glad you are safe!
Yikes! We went to a drive-thru African Safari last week and the freaking deer wanted to jump in the car with Paige. They were trying to get the carrots she was feeding them a proceeded to scratch up my car. Lovely.
You should always look behind you when backing up. :)
I would have shit my pants. Wild vicious animals scare me BIG TIME! I wish you could have taken a picture of this pee in the pants girl. DARN IT.
Did you sweat while camping? You know it's like 136 degrees here in HELL...
LOL! I would've wet my pants too! Besides, it's all the rage these days... wet pants...
That cat is DEFINITELY licking his chops in anticipation :)
yay \o/ you survived and with all body parts intaked
Nice. My boys jumped back at the tigers at the San Diego zoo too.
OMG! I can neither confirm nor deny that someone may have done the exact same thing!
I am very glad you were not eaten.
The timing of this post is quite ironic, as Garrett keeps asking me, "Mommy, when can we go to the zoo?"
I'm like, "Dude, the summer is almost over....can we skip the zoo and just go next year?"
Cuz big cats like that freak me out too.
You?? Scared of a little ole' tiger? No way!

So glad you made it back in one piece! You and your potty mouth, Mimi.
I'm glad you survived the encounter! What a pretty kitty!
