Bueller? Bueller...?

That's right. The dummy that's sitting in the back that's supposed to be me is actually a potato sack filled with newspaper and pretending to be me. I'm shocked at how similar the likeness really is.

I'm not here because I caught whatever it is that my husband and boys have had the last couple weeks. I thought I had missed the train on that one and was going to beat it. Alas, I have not.

Currently, I'm pondering the following things:

Colds suck. They make you feel just crappy enough that you can't do anything, or don't want to do anything, but they don't have a magical cure and you can't whine about them too much because then you're just a wuss.

After the Lego party last week I had felt like I was hit by a Mac truck. Now I'm pretty sure that Mac truck has parked it's big butt squarely on my chest.

I have weird, weird, weird dreams when I don't feel good. The latest included Tara from Fabulous but Evil. I don't know what's weirder, the fact that I had the dream in the first place, or that I just word vomited it all over her so now she knows how weird I am.

I'm making a lot of scarves for my Etsy shop. This one seems to be the best seller, by far.

hand knitted burnt orange scarf.

I have a book review, MAC update and lots of random ideas floating around with the snot germs in my head. I will be back at some point this week. If I had any energy or "give a crap" at all right now, I'd schedule some posts. But. I don't.

I must not be at the total rock bottom of this cold yet because I had the energy to make homemade stew in the crock pot for dinner. Of course, stew...comfort food.

What I don't like is hearing my boys whine over stew.

Here's what I say: Look, kids, I don't like stew all that much either, but it's cold, I feel like a dog turd and you gave me whatever this crap illness is, so it's what I had in the cupboards and you're gonna eat it. Minimal whining, please.

And I will also keep my whining to a minimum, deal?

So. What's for dinner at your house?

And. This is a pretty decent sized post for me not being here, right?

ps: at least it's not the swine flu! again...

Yucky. Hope you feel better soon, MiMi!!! :o( You've given me an idea for my next recipe post. I've got a really yummy stew recipe that even your boys would like. I gotta get it written up and then I'll post it for you! :o)

Hope you feel better soon.
I have yet to make a dinner that doesn't induce some sort of whining from at least one if not both of the boys. I refuse to be a short order cook and the tough, I cooked it, you eat it happens lots here.

Ya got little kids, ya get snot. Plain and simple. No missing the boat. No beating the system. Snot.
My kids are grown. I have a cold...sort of. A mild little inconvenience and I actually feel fine. Do you hate me yet?

Stew is an awesome dinner. Don't listen to them. They are snot factories and wouldn't know a good dinner if it jumped up and bit them. And if it does you have not cooked it enough.

Emma Kate has a cold right now. You KNOW she's gonna give it to me. And I still kiss her like she's not sick and let her drink after me. WTH? Anyway, I hope you get better. Stew will surely help! I'm making a crock pot dinner too. Beef tips! I will serve it over egg noodles. YUM!

Get better soon my friend!

Oh poor thing :( That's what I say too! Except what I really say is "Look, girls, I don't like grocery shopping either. But I do like to eat. And so do you. So. Minimal whining please". See? We're twins.

I hope you feel better soon! How about wrap yourself in one of your scarves? That looks super comfy!

Oh. And I'm picking up pizza tonight. Jeremy is NOT going to be happy, but it's a must. We have grocery shopping, errands, and then a full hour of dance class. No time for dinner prep.
