Friday Confessional - Lamest Confessions Evah

Photobucket

That's right, I'm confessing with Mamarazzi today!

It's been a while since I confessed...

I confess...I've been doing a lot of projects lately and whilst working on them I've been catching up with TV shows that I never had the time or inclination (sleep was a nicer option) to watch when the kids were
really small.

I confess...writing that about when the kids were really small makes my heart hurt. They're growing
up so fast.

I confess...that I was going to tell you, before that little tangent, that recently I started watching Desperate Housewives on Netflix. And I just have to say that Teri Hatcher has the weirdest nostrils ever! What's wrong with them? I wonder if she had an accident or something. I don't know but it drives me nuts because I spend most of the time trying to get a glimpse of her nostrils to see if I can figure out what's wrong with em.

I confess...living in Oregon means that you deal with rain. Lots of rain. But the last 72 hours have been ridiculous! Pouring rain, no breaks, an absolute deluge nonstop. Things are flooding, people are freaking out and a poor little 20 month old died when his family's vehicle was swept away in a flooding canal. The car and his mother are both still lost. Heartbreaking.

I confess...I feel a rant coming on. A mean rant. Nothing to do with the weather. Just something that has slowly been building and I'm about to scream.

I confess...a few weeks ago I actually had an item of clothing that I wanted. If you know me and my distaste for shopping for clothing, you would see how strange this is.
**breaking news**
Blue sky. I see a patch of blue sky! The rain has calmed way down in the last hour or so and is a really light drizzle. The wind is picking up, which sucks, but I'm taking this as a good sign. Blue sky!
Anyway, back to the clothing thing. I actually purposely went to Kohl's looking for this thing. And I found it. On clearance. And I bought it. I know, I know...big deal, right? Well, it is a big deal for me. I don't know if I'm taking this as a good sign or a bad sign or what. I just thought it was interesting.

I confess...I'm pretty sure I won't be shopping again for another year.

I confess...I'm the kind of person that will buy an after Christmas, really fugly, clearance sweatshirt just because it was $5. And. I will wear it. Ha!

I confess...right now I'm working on my very first pair of gloves, ever. Crocheted fingerless gloves. As a special order for someone. So far I have the ribbing for the wrist and the part up to the thumb done. And....I'm stuck. I'm skerred. I don't want this to be a project fail, but I'm skerred. Add to the fact that I've never made gloves, the fact that I'm having to modify the pattern for little hands instead of the adult size the pattern is written for. Like I said...skerred.

I guess that's all I confess for now.

I hope you all have a great weekend! I really hope the rain slows down around here or the next time I blog I will also be rowing...anyone got a boat?

Niecy Nash has the most bizarre nostrils ever. they are SHINY...that's weird.

i super love the Desperate Housewives. i JUST started watching when they came back for a new season and it was 5 years later. so i was able to jump in and it felt like a new show.

that flooding story is so very sad.

rant on girlfriend...rant on!

i love that you found something that you liked and that it was on CLEARANCE..double score.

fugly Christmas sweatshirt...

you. kill. me.

don't be skeeeeered...you can do anything!

fab confessions. thanks for linking up.

please make sure you wear a life jacket for any water that is past your ankles. ESPECIALLY is Big Boy is on your shoulders.

I've been watching Desperate Housewives since the beginning - never noticed anything odd about her nose, but she sure is a skinny beotch :) Now Emma Pillsbury on Glee - HER nose I find very distracting - it's weird....

Read your link about that poor boy - so sad :( Stay safe out there!!

And the gloves? You're my hero. I don't know how to modify anything re: crochet. One day I swear I'm going to really learn how to knit though! Matt's mom taught HERSELF last year. Surely I'll have time someday?

Oh my heart is breaking over the baby.

I have never seen Desperate Housewives. Maybe I should check that out.

Thanks for ruining Desperate Housewives for me for ever. How can I watch it now!!!

I don't know that I'd call it the Lamest confession Eva?! I learned something about you that I admire. I wish I could be that disciplined when it comes to something I want. I usually buy whatever whether I have the money for it or not..it's terrible I wish I could wait and watch what I wanted until it went on clearance!!!

I also get skerred when I'm making something for someone I want to make sure it's perfect.

Your confessions are no lamer than mine.
I'd be skerred of the crocheted gloves too--mostly because I don't crochet.
I almost never find what I'm actually looking for when I go shopping. That does not mean I don't find stuff to buy. But I don't find exactly what I'm looking for. Extra cool that what you were looking for was on clearance.

I can't even tell you how sad I am that this is the last season of Desperate Housewives. I am DEVOTED to this show. Although...I've never noticed anything wrong with Teri Hatcher's nostrils. ;o) Her boobs seem to grow a few sizes in later seasons though...

I just think Teri Hatcher is weird in general. I don't care for her much.

And this rain. CRAZY! We took the four wheeler down to the creek yesterday, and the creek is pouring about two feet over our bridge. Yikes! Have I ever mentioned that I don't think I'm cut out for Oregon's weather? I think I'm a southerner at heart.

Yay for shopping. One {baby} step at a time, girl!

That is SO sad about that little baby!

No rain here, but finally snow. Yeah - winter's here. yay.

You SOUND skerred! I know you can do it tho! You GO girl!!!

Oh yeah! Hubs and I have been watching the new series Person Of Interest and I think the lead lady cop on that has something funky going on with her eye brows. She either was in an accident as a child, or had a serious mistake when plucking...

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only thinking her nose is CRAZY! I really want to learn how to crochet this year. It's on my list of must learns this year. Any tips on where to get started?

marie said...

I am not too big on shopping either, maybe if I had more money I would like it more. Hope you get through your crochet block. I've tried to learn twice and failed twice. I guess it's just not in the cards for me. Happy weekend.

First fingerless gloves, then assless chaps. The things people ask my mom to do amaze me.

I love rants. But hate rain. Rain, rain, go away.

Terry said...

Glad to hear you have a little bit of blue sky peeking through. Just in time for the weekend I hope. :)

Wait girl you were sucessful, shouldn't this make you want to go more???
But I get you, I totally have to be in the right mood and have lots of money I know I can spend guilt free to enjoy shopping. So yea, don't like it most of the time.

I hope things dry up soon

i confess...i'm never inviting my sister in law to do anything with me ever again b/c after hearing her whine about how i never invite her and then i finally remember to invite her all she does is whine about how i didn't give her enough notice and how now i won't get the family hook up b/c she knew the owner of the place we were going like i was supposed to feel guilty or something. $5 for two kids total. how much more of a discount could i want? and oh, they gave me free lunch b/c i introduced myself as sean's wife who is also their cousin. i don't need her stinkin hook ups! or her drama. liberated:)

I'm glad the rain is clearing out. It's fun for awhile, but I can only take it for an hour or so before I start to lose my mind.

Good luck with the gloves! I wouldn't even know where to begin with a project like that!

The rain has just reached California! I know we need it, but I would really like if it only came during the hours of 8pm and 7am. I really don't think that's a lot to ask. :)

Uggghhh the drowning breaks my heart.

Ugh, hope the rain lets up soon! That sounds pretty miserable.
I laughed out loud about your shopping trip...you must really not like to shop! ;)

Good luck on the finger-less gloves! I have faith in you! You can do this!

I'm sorry about your stupid rain. I have the weather blahs too. Sooo sad about the baby.

I'm happy about the clothing shopping success - those always feel nice and are so very few and far between for me.

I hope you are having a good weekend!

Maybe she had a nose job...? Does it look like she always has a booger? Because that might be it.

So sad about the flooding. Please be careful, It's coming up on 20 years since the last big flood up there... It may be time. I am worried about the snowpack and the ice. Be careful. No more shopping trips until the weather is better, mk?
