With the new year a lot of people are starting their running regimens.
A lot of people are doing couch to 5K.
Which got me to thinking...how could I run a 5K?
This kept running through my mind. The way to get me to run.
See MiMi Run:
see mimi.
see mimi run.
see mimi run because an axe murderer is after her.
see mimi puke.
see axe murderer slip in puke.
see mimi escape.
see? i can run.
Someones inspiring and awesome post about doing something healthy and great can inspire me. To be an ass. Right?

Hilarious. i often wonder about runners. my husband is one. most of my siblings and their spouses run.
Mama does not run.
unless she is being chased.
and maybe even not then.
The Couch to 5K sounds intriguing to me. Operative word: sounds. Since it involves actual running I will never do it. I hate running unless it is after an escaping three year old.
My SIL is a runner, and he got my daughter into it. I'm doing good to walk. hehehe
Hahaha! I am a normal person wishing for a cheeseburger!
There is no way I could run a 5k.
ha! I used to say I'd only run if being chased by a serial killer and honestly if I was going to die anyway why die hot and sweaty? :) but I ran my first 5k this weekend! with plans to run a 10K next month!
You are hilarious!!! And that little cartoon is hysterical!!! :o)
I tried to get my neighbor to run with me this weekend, but she said she only runs if someone is chasing after her with a knife. I told her that could be arranged... :o)
Hehehe. One of my favorite pictures ever.
It is truly the best. As are you!!
Mimi!!! SO, are you a normal runner or a freak runner, according to that so eloquent diagram?
That picture is hilarious!
LOL! I could not run to save my life. Well... if running a few feet out of the way of a speeding car, then ok. I guess I'd save my life. But not if they were chasing after me. dang. I want a cheeseburger.
I really really really really want to run. Runners are skinny and can eat anything.
I run and here are the secrets that got me started:
1) goal: do not die. that's it.
2) run hills, because it sounds cool when you brag and say, "i ran hills today." when in reality, it means "I walked UP the hill and ran DOWN the hill". No one needs to know that.
3) hit krispy kreme afterward. Yes I did.
Running grew on me I became one of those addict people. I still think about cheeseburgers when I run, though.
Running is nuts. Although, I think I have ran for "last call" before. Does that count?
I used to love running. No wait, I used to love having run. It felt so awesome after and my weight was manageable. Now my knee won't let me run (good knee!) so I drink wine instead. ?????
lol! I definitely prefer walks to running these days, but I used to be one of those freaks.
Okay so I do run- but yeah, definitely more of the normal person than the freak-- though I never wish for food while running as I know I would vomit for sure.
I only run if it is absolutely necessary. Like when the Zombies come. ;)
I try to convince myself that I'm a runner, but I'm really not.
Ok you just made me laugh out loud. The puke comment!! LOL That is the only way I'd be able to get away! :)
If I can do couch25K, then you could too. JK even did it with me last year. I thought about trying it again but I think I'm just too lazy PLUS it's been like 50 degrees and there's just no need to run when it's that cold outside. =)
RUN MIMI RUN! xoxo
There's a 5K here in Seattle that is Zombie apocalypse themed...they actually have "zombies" chasing you. On the one hand, that would get me to run. On the other hand, it would be depressing to find out just how wussified I am in that situation. Yeah, let's just stick to walking. :)
That is an EXCELLENT way to escape
Oh momma -put one foot in front of the other - that's all you need to do!!

Haha!! So, I take it you don't like to run? ;)
what is this running thing you speak of never heard of such a thing
hahahaha, i used to LOVE running. in fact, i ran so much that when i was running i was breathing a normal breathing pattern as if i were just walking. it was awesome. but my body was always sore. i got back into swimming after i had brennan and have stuck with it ever since. love my wed night swimming. especially with this baby b/c it feels so good to get in the water and be able to breathe and not feel the weight of the baby. hooray!
p.s. my friend ran the wasatch back (now THOSE people are crazy) and they made shirts that said "i'd rather be drinking diet coke." that pic totally reminded me of that.
Hahaha so true. I wish I loved to run!
Love the cartoon...SO TRUE! I hate running!
One of my best friends says she only runs if someone is chasing her with a knife.
