The kids went back to school this morning. I have to tell you that even though they got stir crazy at times and did their fair share of fighting, I definitely enjoyed our time together at home!
Little Boy was sick the last few days before break, so he was still recovering.
We had no schedule, nothing planned and just flew by the seats of our pants! Or were glued by the seats of our pants to the couches anyway.
Here are a few pictures from our break.
The first day we woke up to this:
Seriously.
Seriously?!
Yeah.
The next shots are from my phone so you'll have to excuse the quality.
The boys and I had to shovel the end of the driveway just because it was so slick...we didn't want to slide around and hit the phone pole that's not too far away on the other side of the driveway! I do not recommend shoveling snow. If you live in Michigan or someplace? Move.
Both of my boys actually cuddled with me! And quite a bit too. This makes me happy. You can't probably tell but Little Boy is wearing his jammies. Because spring break = wearing jammies all day if you wanna!

Little Boy also lost his second tooth!
That exclamation point and sentence, on it's surface, does not let you know the drama that was behind this feat. For some reason he's sort of absolutely terrified to lose his teeth and so he kept it in, hanging by a thread for 2 days. After the second day of not talking, eating, or hardly even drinking to avoid it getting knocked out accidentally, I made the executive decision:
It's comin' out. Like it or not.
And...he did not. Like it, that is. But it came out anyway.
During our many negotiations (mostly me, not his dad, because daddy does not negotiate with terrorists) the bribe offer of Lime Berry came up. Lime Berry = Do it yourself frozen yogurt shop where you add your own toppings, etc.
This generous offer didn't work. But once it had been offered, it couldn't be forgotten.
So one day we bundled up and left the house. They did their two favorite things and it cost me less than $15. We went to the Used Book Store and they picked out some books and then we went to the beloved Lime Berry.
We always joke that Little Boys concoctions remind us of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
I worked on a lot of totes. Made some business cards (for free! vista print, y'all. highly recommend.) and received them.
Got a replacement ac cord for the Wii, because as it turned out, the cord absorbed the frying, not the console. Whew!
Had some play dates with the bff and her kiddos and our super cute cousin.
Got sucked in to the local garage sale facebook site. Sold some stuff. Yay!
Watched Hunger Games. Loved. (not as much as the books. never as much as the books.)
Started reading a book that I've been meaning to for a long time but just never got around to it. Sure, I read parts of it, even studied parts, but never read it in it's entirety. So. I began reading the Bible. It's a study Bible so about half of each page is filled with helpful notes and instruction. It probably weighs 8,000 pounds! Okay, maybe not. I'm exaggerating.
More like 7,999 pounds.
And one final shot...I got a good one of each of the boys during their one snowball fight. I added some doohickey things that I thought were hilarious. I crack myself up, ya know!
And now that Spring Break is over? Whatever Little Boy had and was recovering from was passed onto me. Joy!

Can it really be called spring break if it SNOWS? That's so bizarre! It sounds like ya'll had a really great week, though! A day of frozen yogurt and book shopping is right up my alley! (Love the Willy Wonka concoction!)
I think pajama days are so therapeutic. Just had this conversation with my 24 yr. old son yesterday.
Cuddly boys with their momma. Awesome.
I need a vacation from my vacation!!
I can't believe you got snow on Spring Break.
I am afraid of teeth falling out too.
If you live in Michigan, move! BHAHAHAHAHA! I love it! It's why we live here.
So glad the Wii was easy to save and fix.
We are just starting Spring break...wish us luck. Looks like you had fun(mostly)I think tooth loss with my son will be similar.
You guys really got a ton of snow! And on spring break of course-- but maybe that was good since you didn't have to go out in it- though you obviously did :)
My kids always put so many toppings on their ice-cream at places like that and than barely want to eat it, drives me crazy!
Snow on Spring Break! I don't think I could have handled that with my two running rampant.
Then again, I can't handle snow in any capacity.
I think we have that study bible and yep, it's heavy!
adorable tote!
The pulling teeth thing around here is, you tie some thread to your tooth and then around your brothers waist. Then push your brother over the railing. No turning back at that point.
Holy crap! I cannot believe that you got snow. I would flip my freaking lid if it decided to snow this coming week. I have to take a few days off during my kids Spring Break and I am just praying for some nice days. I am sure we will spend at least one day in the house but I need to be out if I am not working. =) We will need at least 1 pajama day!
Ugh!! More snow!! It looks like you guys had an awesome Spring Break!! I love the Lime Berry creations. And, I'm so glad your Wii is OK!!
P.S. My oldest is the same way with losing teeth. I think it's kind of funny ;)
We didn't get that much snow all winter. I always think that kind of weather is exciting!
Feel better!
You know what I think of snow shoveling....
I'm glad you all had a fun time though, and especially glad the Wii isn't fried!!
That yogurt picture looked, um interesting??
Tooth trauma is amusing for me...when it's not my kid! Haha! I mean - I'm sorry it was traumatic.
idk. i might could like a snowy spring break. totes are fab. pjs are fab. your doohicky things are fab. you are fab.
Can you believe it snowed? That was fun. And I love Little Boy's concoction. Anything with candy corn rocks! :) Those bags are super duper cute. Crafty momma.
You can certainly tell where the car was parked, lol.
Holy crap! It's been like 80 here. I've been sweating like a.... well you get the picture.
I think Button and I will need matching totes. Wonder how old she'll be before she needs a purse type bag?
Lime Berry huh... I need to try them, I haven't yet. Lame aren't I!
This year for some reason I didn't plan much for Spring Break. Last year I stuffed it full. We had a good week, didn't do much cuz a couple of the girls were sick for a few days but still a good week non the less.
I miss you, we need to get together!!!
