Friday Confessions - Rant Edition

Photobucket

I'm gonna be linking up with my IRL friend, Mamarazzi, today to share my confessions! Which may actually sound a lot like plain 'ol bitchin' today, but there ya go.

I confess...The women on Desperate Housewives are all crazy! I mean, lock them up and put away the key crazy! I guess that's why they're called Desperate, right? But still, every single one of them is a felon in one way or another.

I confess...I'm amazed at how rude adults can be. I was at my children's school yesterday and had to sit in the last available chair which was right next to...I don't know...this woman. So. This woman was sitting there and so was I and I leaned over and said something to her. **crickets** Hmm. Maybe she didn't hear me, but I really don't think that was the case. So I tried again. This time I turned to her and looked directly at her while I was talking. **blank stare** Maybe she doesn't speak English? And then she turns and starts having a conversation with the person on the other side of her.

I confess...HOW RUDE. I mean, I don't talk to people I don't know. Ever. But for some damn reason I decided to share my brilliant insights with this person. And I got ignored. Flat out, right to my face, ignored.

I confess...Her loss! Jerkface.

I confess...I made a little boy cry when I was volunteering in my Kindergartner's class. It wasn't my fault. Don't you judge me!

I confess...it's been a rough week up here in these parts. I've offended people totally unintentionally, and I feel bad about it. However, I totally disagree with the idea of their reasoning behind the offense. I'm not going to go into details because it's just too much drama and I hate drama.

I confess...The one thing that I'm loving this week, besides my oldest getting an award on Wednesday at school, is these bags I'm making for the Cursing Crafter Etsy Shop.

Speaking of Cursing Crafter...

I confess...Xazmin and I are having a super awesome giveaway right now. We're hoping to drum up some promotion for our Etsy sites...the entries are really low right now. Go! Enter! And, even if you don't have a little girl to win this for...could you still help us girls out by at least spreading the word? Facebook, twitter, blogs, etc? We would love you forever.

ok first of all, anyone who doesn't take the time to know how awesome you are (which only takes seconds by the way) is seriously missing out!!

and that..."woman"..is a jerkface.

those bags you are making are darling!!

thanks for linking up, i love your confessions!

That lady is TOTALLY Re- I mean RUDE!!

She is so lame for not getting to know you. Like even if someone talks to me and I think they are total whack jobs and have bad breath, I'm still not rude enough to blatantly IGNORE them! I'm feelin' the need to throw down (again).

Okay...I freaking love your bags. Every time you post a new one, it becomes my new favorite...you're messin' with my mind here!!

I hope some people enter our giveaway!! <3

:O That's shocking! I can't believe anybody would just blatantly ignore you like that... People like that woman are the reason I don't go out of my way to speak to strangers- I fear the rejection and wouldn't be able to hold my tongue if I was ignored!
I shall spread the word about your giveaway- the prizes are just precious, unfortunately I think my son would disagree ;)

Woooooooooow!!!! People are just getting ruder and ruder! I had a woman sit across from me at work and tell me how she's glad my old boss retired (I loved my old boss) and how she always felt sorry for me sitting alone in the dark (I never turned on the lights to the office next to me)and I kid you not, the whole time I stared at her with my mouth hanging open....and she kept on spewing her negativity!! People really need a crash course in empathy and courtesy!

NO!! Don't enter so I can win!!! I love your ruffle bags! So cute!

I can't even believe some people! I like you would be repeating myself if I didn't get a response then your playing it over and over again in your head....OMG I can't even believe someone could be so rude! The nerve! I am definitely not looking forward to kindergarten after hearing some of these horror stories, yours and Connie from the Young and the relentless! YIKES!

Oh my gosh, that lady was totally rude! Kudos to you, though, for not saying something rude to her. I would have. Her loss anyway.

Sorry you have had such a hard week, hopefully the weekend will make up for it!

& I ADORE your bags! I really love the blue and plaid one. SO CUTE!

What was with that lady?? I just don't understand or get that one bit-- how could she at least not say something back. Wow- holy cow.

Sorry it's been a tough week. Hope next week is better

That woman must have been struck dumb by your awesomeness. Definitely.

Love those bags you are making. The ruffles are super adorable and love the colours you picked.

I heard about some drama and I think it's lame. LAME LAME LAME. But I don't know which blog you were on because I don't follow her so that's why you should put a link on here so I can leave comment love for you over there....where ever THERE is. Or maybe you did and I missed it. I haven't been blogging much lately.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE those bags! Super cute!!!!

And that bitch that didn't talk to you? She's missing out on a very funny friend. I'd totally bitch slap her for you. I have some built up frustration that I could stand to get out of my system!

Have a great weekend my friend. xoxo

Being a 'will talk to anyone' type of person, I have been met with the blank stare as well. LOL I don't know if the people are really rude or are extreme introverts who's brains are screaming 'who is this weird woman who is talking to me?' Anyway, don't take it personally. It says more about her. As for those bags ... cutola!

Beth said...

Bad drama, rude girls, OMG ADORABLE RUFFLE BAGS!!!! I'm hooked. :D

Sarah Kate said...

Maybe that lady was scared of you b/c you made a kindergartener cry. ;o) Kidding...that was super rude. I think you should laugh at her next time you see her.

DH is still one of my favorite shows. I'm quite sad that this season is the last...

That woman is just plain... ugh... rude!!!

D said...

I agree. Adults are annoying! They are sooo rude!

McVal said...

Some people are just plain RUDE!!! I can't believe you just said *crickets* to her. She probably doesn't understand cricket. Is it like the language Bushmen speak?!
*I kid - I got what you said the 2nd time...*
And those bags are super adorable!

C.J. said...

Ok people. Let's all join in a crusade to rid the world of the word "Jerkface". It sickens me. Heck, free speech sickens me.

Jen said...

Those bags are awesome! And I can't believe that woman totally dissed you right to your face. Bitch :)

tara said...

those bags are SO cute!!!!

Lourie said...

Two quote a fellow blogger, she must be a mother b*tch! Sheesh. Either that a bug crawled up her butt.

I LOVE those bags! Adorable!

OMG! The housewives are nuts! Every single one of them! I would not want to live on Wisteria Lane!

Xazmin said...

I agree with C.J.

I thought this post was great until the word "jerkface". When will we rise above the use of hate-speech against a group of people in the name of expressing our opinions?

It's not clever, or funny, or just a word. It's hurtful.

I am so offended that I am now going to go over to my blog and write a blog post about the offensiveness of this word, and encourage everyone to join C.J.'s revolution.

Myya said...

Ok what did you do to the Kindergardener to make him/her cry???

Ummmm SERIOUSLY what the hell is wrong with people! WTH, Why couldn't she acknowledge you??? Jerkface isn;t the word I'd use!

Your new bags are soooo adorable & I'm with Xaz on liking the next one even more then the previous. These are your gold mind my friend. Or aat least I hope they are.

Bawwhaaahaaa to CJ & Xazmin.

It's an epidemic of people with poor manners and social skills! I saw this lady the other day that I've met at least 5 times and she acted like I was going to ask her for money, or something equally awkward. My first inclination is to think it's something about me, but I really don't think it is.

Lori E said...

Whoa...seriously? She did that? What a hag.
I have had that happen when I went to a wine tasting with a friend who is a member of a wine club. She knew most of the people there.
Now I am really outgoing and will talk to anyone usually with good results but this night it was like I was invisible. It had been a really long time in my life since I had felt that uncomfortable. What a bunch of snots.
Now just to clarify it wasn't her little boy that you made cry was it?

hotpants™ said...

I agree about the women on Desperate Housewives, but I am going to be a little sad when the show ends. I've watched every single episode from the beginning. Those whores feel like a part of the family now. Hahaha!

Liz @ Sugarplum Creations said...

I'm pretty much in love with those gorgeous totes, Mims! That lavender one is calling my name!

And that makes me angry that a woman completely ignore you. What is wrong with people?!

I hope this week is better than last. I just want to reach out and give you a big hug! Or handshake. Weren't you saying you aren't much of a hugger?

Steph said...

I love, love, love the totes.

And it's on my to-do list to jump through all the hoops to enter your giveaway. ;) I'll do it today. Crap, I hope it's not too late. No, it's not. I'll get my act together today.

Mindie Hilton said...

I have only watch Desperate Housewives a few times. I have sort of intentionally avoided it becacuse I am sure I could relate to the wives, and don't want to get hooked on another show or realize that I too am crazy lol.
How rude, no one puts Mimi in a corner :) I can't believe she ignored you, That is so weird and rude.
I Love LOVE Love your new bags. Oh I might have to put one on a wish list for my hubby to see. I got a b-day coming this Summer, I have already told him I want a Soft Kitty t-shirt but I have been good, I think I deserve two things, don't you ;)
I will go tweet your giveaway again.
