Evil Sister In Law

That's a juicy topic, isn't it? I bet you all think I mean that one of my sisters in law is evil...don't ya?

You would be wrong.

See, my brother's wife is expecting twins (TWINS! holy crap.) this summer. She's looking really good and I haven't noticed a "pop" yet. She's 17-18 weeks, I think.

A few weeks ago she came over to pick up my neice, her daughter, who'd been playing with my boys. She walked in and I was like, "Wow, you look like you've lost weight."

Which she had. All is well, babies are healthy, she had just dropped some pounds because of morning sickness.

So she's standing there and I come up and the following is exactly what happened.

My short, fat self walks up to her and pokes her belly and says: "That's not baby is it?"

Imagine it. Seriously, think about it. I wish I was joking. I really wish I was kidding and that I'm not that dumb, but I'm not. I totally did that. And it wasn't thought out either, okay? I said it and did it before I even had a chance to register what exactly I was doing.

Basically I was poking her belly and saying, "That couldn't be baby yet, must just be fat."

And then? She punched me.

No, she didn't! She just laughed and said no, her pants were just getting tight.

So.

Turns out?

I'm the evil sister in law.

Someone shoot me now.

ps: and it's gonna be boys!

Linking up with the girls!

I'm only going to forgive you for this because you have been pregnant. Twice. And I'm sure someone said or did something equally as...interesting. ;) Although she actually must be super skinny because if she's just now showing with twins...that's amazing. I've been in maternity clothes since the 12th week and showing since around 15! But, admittedly, some of that *was* fat.

You are hilarious. Don't you love that moment when it's out there, you've said it (and done it apparently) and you can't get it back. lol

It is almost a slow motion moment where your can hear yourself and see yourself but you can't stop the motion or turn back the clock.
Trying to stuff the words back into your mouth doesn't work because on of your hands is too busy poking her in the baby belly.
Nice one! Lol.

Oh, this makes me cringe! Don't worry - everyone's guilty of faux pas like that. Be glad it was your sister-in-law it slipped out on, and not, say your kid's principal, or your hairdresser. It could be worse. ;o)

Lmao!! Oh no you didn't! Girl...my DIL probably would punch me if I said that to her. Haha!

Nice...It doesn't sound like she took offense though.

I once wore a Got Milk? nursing shirt to a club for a friends bachelorette party when I was nearly 6 months preggo and got hit on. Now that was awkward.

LOL!!!! At least she had a good attitude about it!

hehehehe too funny! I had a friend, who last spent her entire first six months of pregnancy totally pissed off because nobody would believe she was pregnant. They thought she was gaining weight, not because of baby. I felt so sorry for her!

I was and am the evil sister inlaw. I'm proud of that fact. People can clear a room with the meer mention of my name. My ex inlaw, I have deeply apologized for all the things I did to her when she was married to my brother and we laugh about it now but I was so awful to her.
I said that her youngest child couldn't possibly be my brother's child becuz she talks way too much to be his. That didn't go over well at all.
She was really pissed off when I told my brother to pack her shit up in garbage bags and put on Greyhound back to the podunk town he found her in.
I like her so much better than the thing he's married to now!

She should totally be showing at 17-18 weeks, especially with twins!! Unless she's tall? I'm popping already and there's just one in there. Lol, I'm glad she didn't punch you.

Oh, that stinks! I think pregnant ladies expect that kind of commentary, so she probably just laughed it off.

Doh! Something must have temporally possessed you! Sounds like she loves you and knows who you really are though, so all is forgiven

LOL Mimi I did something similar to that once to my sister-in-law. Asked if she was pregnant just to find out she's not. Felt really bad but she's such a sweetie though. She goes, "Don't worry everyone ask me that question all the time." You're not evil at all.

So you're now in the same bracket as men who ask when the baby's due and in actual fact, the female is just fat.

Well done,lol.

I love you! You're so stinking funny! But say it all you want. I KNOW for a FACT you're not evil!

Twins are a handful. My cousin has a daughter Emma's age (2) AND 8 month old twins-ALL GIRLS! She is crazy stressed and busy and in a constant state of zombieness.<--I think I made that word up.

Thanks for linking up! I always love it when you do!

PS. My inlaws are causing me to drink.

I loooove twins. I so wish I had a set... first time around when I didn't know any better would have been awesome. Hmmm maybe that is why I am not going to get to have any more, I'd probably have a set & end up with FIVE freakin girls. OMGosh could you imagine... holy hell!
