Safer Padding for Playgrounds

Some of you may know what has been going on around here with my son and his arm. I will tell you all the gruesome details at a later date, but suffice it to say, I'm really in favor of  Rubberecycle.

If you're worried about the environment and how to recycle tires, etc, this is a great solution.

It's a rubber mulch of sorts that is perfect for school playgrounds or commercial playgrounds, both.

Making playground surfaces safer is one of my top priorities. My son fell on a wooden mulch ground, with no "bounce." I know that rubber is much more forgiving and have to wonder if he fell on that would his arm have fared better?

The rubber curbs are excellent for keeping your rubber mulch inside playground barriers and safe if your child happens to take a nosedive into the curb.

Not only is it great for playground surfacing, it's also used for curbs and wear mats, landscaping and sure footing for equestrian activities.

It consists of granular rubber particles, also referred to as rubber chunks, and is made of 100% recycled tires.

It looks great all year round for landscaping. Never have to change bark dust again!  It comes in a variety of different colors to match whatever your needs may be.

More resilient than wood and never changes colors, always looking new. Not only is it safe and environmentally friendly, it's attractive too!

I'm thinking that I need to get some for our flowerbeds and then also campaign to the city to provide these safer alternative surfaces to all the city parks so that our kids can be safer while playing.
