First let me say that I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Me? I did...but I'm still recovering from chocolate overload.
So I decided I needed more throw pillows. I still had the darker green from these cases...
And then I sewed them on the pillows smack dab in the middle and this is how they turned out:
And there ya have it. I'm tired of my sewing machine now. I think we'll break up for a while.
ps: maybe not. i was recently asked to make a set of ruffle curtains for someone. please, sewing machine, don't quit on me now.

I wanted to make some a little smaller than the light green ones I made.
I took the green cases (actually, they were shams) and cut them in half. Sewed them up in a rectangular shape and stuffed em.
Then, since I'm still slightly addicted to ruffles I took some black and gingham fabric from here and made some ruffled strips.

These are adorable!
What a fabulously cushy and chic space you are making there. Very nice.
So precious!
Although I'm dying to know...how was the craft fair? Wait, was that this weekend?
So cute!
Have I ever told you that I don't know how to work a sewing machine? I had sew everything!
Those are super cute!
Why do you always make such cute crap with that sewing machine?
I'm afraid of mine.
Can't wait to see the curtains! You know you better show me!!
CUTE!! I need to make some of these.. I have tons of mis-matched pillow cases. :)

Don't break up. You are perfect for each other.
So cute!!!!!
So cute!
Do you cuss at your sewing machine? My mom totally does. I tease her that Button will come home and tell me, "Grandma cusses when her bobbin runs out."
So pretty!!! Will you be selling pillows at your booth, too? I think you should...unless, of course, the thought of spending more time with your sewing machine makes you want to strangle someone with a piece of fabric. :o)
Your craftiness never ceases to impress me. I love these pillows. I don't even know where my (ahem, MacGyver's) sewing machine is.

Love your pillows and your new blog look, very nice! Makes me want to change mine, I think I will try to hold off though. I change my blog look almost as often as I change my hair LOL. I am so glad it's Friday, what a week. Hope you have a great weekend my friend.
I LOVE the idea of using older pillowcases! I also love the idea of upcycling. Just beautiful
