Hi everyone! Didja miss me? Are you glad I'm back? No? Whatever.
I want to give Kelley a huge thank you for keeping my blog busy while I was gone, she did fantastic!! Love her face off!
I had a really nice post all written out here for you about our trip to Utah. As you know, Myya and I trekked there last week to spend a fabulous time with Xazmin and Amanda aka Shortmama. If you're anybody at all, you remember Shortmama! If you don't...well, I don't know you! Haaa.
Sorry, I'm a little loopy. Myya and I got the bright idea to leave Xazmin's house Saturday night instead of Sunday morning because then the kids would sleep for a majority of the trip. If we left Sunday morning they would get a cat nap before we left and be up all day.
Don't worry about us, though. We obviously made it just fine. Never mind the fact that I can't remember half the trip and I was driving. I was awake! I was! Also never mind that we stopped at a reststop in Idaho. I guess that's not very smart when you're 2 women, 5 kids and no sleep. At 4 am. Whatever.
Although I am still having a hard time using complete sentences. Example, Big Boy wanted a sausage link...I told him, "Go make self one." Huh?
Little Boy wanted to watch a movie. I replied, "What want you? Which?" What?
And that was just this morning. Who knows what stupid crap I said yesterday and the day before.
I'm planning on breaking our trip into some lists for ya, but not in this post.
This is the post where I extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for hosting us for a week. There were lots of us and it could be very chaotic but they were true champs at Xazmin's house.
There were 11 kidlets total and 3 extra adults. Even though we took the expense of driving there and back, they invested a lot in the food to feed us and the places we went. The time, money, patience...they went above and beyond and we thank them!
I also can't extend enough thanks to Xazmin and her husband, Jeremy, who spent all day one day trying to figure out and build a make shift fire pit for their back yard so that we could roast hotdogs. It was something my boys were really looking forward to, going up in the canyon and making hotdogs and s'mores. The wildfires that were running rampant in the mountains prevented us from being able to go. There were only 3 boys out of all the kids and they worked hard to make sure that we did things that they would enjoy too.
We stayed up late talking each night which left us drowsy the next day but we were still rockstars! And poor Amanda...her household had been fighting infection and things the week before we went to Utah but she powered through and came anyway. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't shake the bad germs off because she ended up pretty sick while we were there and had to leave early. The day after she got home her Dr. confirmed tonsillitis and strep.
None of us have gotten that, thank goodness, but I got some sort of crud the last couple days there and brought it home with me. I went to the Dr. Monday morning for a regular appt. I already had scheduled and she checked me over...no strep here! Although, it was fun going to the Dr. and trying to have a coherent conversation after about 10 hours of sleep and being up the prior 36 hours.
In fact, when we got home, my inlaws were here and wanted to go to lunch. I don't remember that lunch. I do remember where we went...but that's about it. I guess it was hilarious entertainment! Jerkfaces.
Anyway, we had a fabulous time, we're so glad we went, and a huge, huge thank you to Xazmin and her family for welcoming us with open arms, hosting a fun filled week and showing us the state and city you love so much!
I promise I will get around to sharing some pictures. Just as soon as I wake up.

Sounds like you had an awesome time, minus the lack of sleep ;)
Can't wait to hear more!
So glad you had a great time there!! I confess, I don't know who smallmama is, but you DO know me!!! :-P
I'm so jealous! I want to meet all involved in this trip. And I'm mad I haven't seen pics yet. However, your incoherentness made me giggle! That's funny! I'm a girl who needs her sleep! No way could I have done what you two did!
I miss you all! Furry Bottoms said "small mama" HAHAHA!!
It really was our pleasure to have you here. The house has been so DULL the past week! Also, I know Chick-fil-A really misses you. I could tell when I went there for lunch the other day!
I will be posting very soon - promise!!

LMAO .. I laughed through this whole post. Yup.. I sure did laugh at you. :)
Glad your mom save and sound!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that blacks out when I'm tired.
I picked my sister up from the airport at 7am yesterday. I mean....she's here, obviously I drove an hour to DIA and an hour back. And I tweeted something with the F word in it. But I have little memory of doing it.
Anyway, glad you are back!!
Hurry and have your boys take a video of you- it will be the perfect end segment for when you recap your trip ;) haha
So glad you had such a great time. I am going to meet Xazmin in about a week and a half! Just for dinner though not a whole fun filled week.
And yes I miss shortmamas blog, she was one of the blogs I read in the very beginning.
Can't wait to hear all about your trip
Great post miss Mimi. I am really thankful to X and Jeremy, they really did make thier home ours. I love that whole clan to pieces... even if Cowgirl was mean to me. LOL. I have to love her, she is a smart alik just like me. :)
I want to do a post, but I still haven't gotten my house in order & haven't even looked through pictures. I need to. Sigh. I WILL.... maybe next week.
Miss you my friend. The roadtrip with you is one of my favoritest parts. We are definitely two very odd peas in a pod. MAUH!
Glad you had a pretty good time...and hopefully you're able to get some sleep. :) Can't wait to see pictures!
Good morning!!! and welcome home!
We missed you. Now start posting pics!!
Girl, you are crazy! And so is Xazmin for allowing 11 kids in her house! ;o) I'm glad you all had fun, but sorry you're feeling sickly. At least it's not strep. That's the worst! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures!
i cannot wait ti hear ALL about it once we are face to face. it sounds like you had a lot of fun.
Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time! And Shortmama, I could have swore she fell of the face of the earth.
And of course I don't realize you're in Utah until I'm away from home!! I live about 2 miles from Cabella's! It sounds like you had too much fun... I'm totally jealous of the late nights talking with friends.
Isn't this the 2nd time we've been so close yet so far away? ;)
What sweet friends. :)
