Something I've noticed lately is the cute little way that my 6 year old pronounces words that have the "ya" sound in them or "e-o" sound at the end.
For example...
Medium - Meeed-yum
Radio - Rayd-yo
Meteor - Meeed-yer
Stadium - Stayed-yum
He sounds like has a Russian accent or something and it kills me! I love it. There's a very slight "e" sound before he heads for the "yum" so the words are still 3 syllables.
He also calls back packs pack packs and says that the free throws in basketball are three throws.
Speaking of basketball...he and his brother are obsessed with it lately. He was talking about Ginobily...pronouncede "juh-noble-ee." Of course we didn't know that at first because he kept saying, "Manuu Jobily." I kind of like that better than Ginobily...
I never correct him because I think it's stinkin' adorable and it gives me the comfort of thinking about how young he is. I'm selfish and the thought of my kids getting older breaks my heart. Although alternative to getting older is earth shattering so I really need to just shut it.
Do your kiddos say something cute like that or did they used to?

Yes, and I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to correct them. It's just too cute to hear!
Too cute! My "almost 8" year old still says aMiNals, instead of aNiMals, and malMet, instead of malLet! I love it! :)
I LOVE this...I never correct my kids either, because it's just too cute :)
adorable!!! My two older kids had speech impediments that I thought was just too cute and loved how they talked... When they got to 2nd and 3rd grade, they had to go into speech therapy sessions at the school until about 5-6th grade. and we were told to correct them then. Dang.
But Maddy got into it seriously because a kid at school kept asking her if she was a foreign exchange student. Because she kind of sounded like she had a British accent... I thought she had the sweetest accent ever... Oh well. I still have some of what she sounds like recorded. Now she's just grown up. darn.
That is precious!!! It's so sweet when they say things like this - you really don't want to correct them. I was really sad when Lexie learned how to pronounce her 'K's. Prior to that, she would give me a "tiss" every night before bed and wanted a glass of "milt" every morning. :o) I guess when they are 10 it's time to tell them they are saying in wrong. ;o) J/K.
My quincy has a lisp and I can't resist when she asks for a "thip of my thoda". It's too cute!
Oh, and MedYum is exactly how everyone in arkansas speaks. Why bother with extra syllables? ;)
my younger brother use to replace letters in words like
coach ~ hoach
okay ~ho hay
and my nephew use to call my son Tiff instead of Cliff to cute
super cute. i love that kid!
oh yes!! and we still tease them about it!! it is fun all around...
awww I love kiddo-isms!!
Haha Love It!
Allison started doing this popping kinda noise when she talks. I keep wondering where she picked that up at.
Many years ago one of my sons came back from the local pool with his Dad and was telling me all about the MUTONDA. What the heck is a mutonda? Finally his dad explained to me it was the sauna.
He also used to say morado for motorcycle.
The younger son spent a week at his grandparents when he was a toddler and was getting really agitated asking for GO PACOS. No one had any idea what he wanted until we brought him home and he turned on the TV to watch Ghost Busters.
This same son had a problem with saying the letter S with other consonants for example Spider was Fider and Smarties were Farties. I have 2 friends that are speech pathologists and they said to drop the first letter completely and just have him say Marties or Pider and once he got that down pat he added the letter S back in and it worked perfectly.
Not as cute but we were happy to stop running to see if the house was really on Fider all the time!!!!
How cute! I had a dream that Aubri's first word was "Vinnie."
I only correct the glaring errors that make the kids seem like they can't speak English. Haha! So cute.
Sometimes...Meghan has a long island accent.
I'm trying to get her a gig on Jersey Shore.
those are so cute! Alex still says some funny things like she has a good remembery (memory). And Ryder says all sorts of cute things but he is 2 :)
Jackson said the pack pack saying all the time!
